Apple has looked to Mandarin Leader in 2015 and 2016 for strategic marketing towards Chinese business owners and entrepreneurs in North America. 2015 efforts culminated with an invite-only symposium and reception showcasing Chinese entrepreneurs in Chicago.  2016 includes an innovation reception in February to recognize Chinese innovators in the digital arts.

Chanel has utilized Mandarin QuarterlyMandarin Weekend, and Mandarin Leader platforms to advance their branding and marketing efforts towards their targeted Chinese clientele in North America.  An invite only reception for 25 Chinese women under thirty yrs led to knew client opportunities.  Extensive editorial coverage has been incorporated in MCG publications as well.

Cartier was one of MCG's first clients to utilize our multiple channels to increase brand awareness amongst Chinese in NYC, CHI, and SFO.  The one larger brand activation we held with Cartier led to substantial sales, and Cartier continues to enjoy high profile branding via MCG's media platform.

Burberry engaged MCG to co-host 6 in-store receptions over the course of 2 years in New York and Chicago, leading to immediate sales, new clients, and long-term brand awareness amongst Chinese living in both cities.

Wells Fargo Business Banking and Wells Fargo Wealth Management have both hired MCG to support their efforts to more effectively market and brand their services to Chinese companies in North America.

Leading law firm, K&L Gates has hired MCG to support their marketing and branding efforts toward Chinese businesses in North America, as well as inbound investors. Four events were executed in 2015.

Receptions

Network with North America's most accomplished Chinese executives, business owners, KOLs, and socialites. 

From fashion to banking, marketing executives recognize that face to face networking receptions with resident Chinese is an effective use of marketing budget.  

MCG has recently co-hosted receptions with B2C brands including:  Chanel, Cartier, Harry Winston, Bloomingdales, Kate Spade, Vince, Porsche Design,Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Ave, and Ralph Lauren.  B2B brands including: Nixon Peabody, K&L Gates, and William Blair. 

Successful receptions are based on a compelling theme or focus, not just champagne and hand shakes. Recently MCG clients have co-hosted the launch a new offering, a new store opening, fashion shows, industry networking, or host a fundraiser for a Chinese non-profit group.

Private Luncheons

Establishing trust over a meal is an proven tactic for new client acquisition.  

An invite-only luncheon between our clients and 20 or so Chinese executives, business owners, or influencers is one of MCG's core competencies.

MCG has recently co-hosted private luncheons with Credit Suisse, Wells Fargo, JP Morgan, and FifthThird Bank.  

For Chinese A-listers to make the time to attend the luncheon, the topic must be compelling, mostly including topics relating to investment and business opportunities.  

Luncheon's are typically held in partner restaurants or hotels, not in our clients board rooms. MCG advises clients not to use these luncheons for the hard sell, but more for cultivating relationships over a meal.
