Mandarin Quarterly Launching National Edition

ANNOUNCEMENT  |   22 February 2016

Award winning media brand, Mandarin Quarterly, announced today that a national edition will be in circulation from June 1st, 2016, in addition to city-centric editions.

The city-centric print platforms have given "MQ" brand awareness, circulation, and a loyal following in New York, Chicago, and San Francisco.  Building on this success,  Publisher John Robinson, and editorial leadership Yu-Jin Chou and Kim Yu, proudly announce MQ's as a national media platform.  The overarching goal of this new platform is to offer MQ's high-quality editorial to stylish and successful Chinese residents across North America - including Canadian cities and Hawaii.

The inaugural national edition of Mandarin Quarterly will be our annual Travel Feature, highlighting a wide range of premium travel destinations across Latin America.  Other sections of Mandarin Quarterly's national edition will cover business, technology, shopping, fashion, culture, and dining.   City-centric content will be limited to business and lifestyle 'highlights' from each major North American city.

The fall edition of Mandarin Quarterly will be our annual Fashion Issue. Winter will be the Arts & Design Issue, and spring our Health & Beauty issue, with a wedding feature.

Associate Publisher Sara Simmons remarked "Mandarin Quarterly has been very successful in delivering MCG's clients a targeted and sophisticated media channel for branding and marketing across three key markets; however, it's always been our plan to launch a national Chinese-language media brand, and now is the time"   Ms Simmons continues, "With the launch of MQ's national edition, we will be in a position to support our clients's North American branding and marketing even more effectively."

From April 1st, 2016, MQ's digital platform (web, email, and social) underwent a substantial overhaul, offering our audience event more day to day content on news, events, and commentary on business and lifestyle in North America.    For local restaurant openings, real estate, events, and other 'local' content, MQ's digital platform will be where our clients and partners will engage white-collar, native Mandarin-speaking Chinese residents.

Mandarin Quarterly's mission remains unchanged:   Bringing North American Business and Lifestyle into Focus.
